You're on your own as far as getting the game. However if you need the English patch for it so that you can read most of the game in English then you can legally get that by clicking here.
Just so you know the PS3 HD version and the PSP version are identical.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Hi,
I have been playing this game (HD, English patched) without any problem in previous versions (0.9.7.2, was the last one, if I am not wrong) of PPSSPP on my PC. But I have just tried the last one (1.0.1) in the same computer and it simply crashes once I try to load the game. Other games (MHF Unite, Patapon 3) work well.
Any idea of what may be happening? Should I change any new option for this game (I just have the default options as I have just downloaded the most recent PPSSPP)?
Thank you!

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
This game should boot just fine with default settings, I just tried it. How did you update PPSSPP? Did you just overwrite your old PPSSPP exe file? If you did, that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be using default settings. Are you using DirectX or OpenGL?

Do not worry. I have just discovered the reason. I was trying to load the normal MH3 instead of the HD version... And in fact I have managed to have also the normal one working (until a black screen) disabling the quick memory thing. But the HD is working without any problem as usual. Thank you!

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Ah, yes, the regular version hangs/crashes without those silly PAUTH files. There's little reason not to play the HD version, since the performance is the same as far as I can tell (on my old and slow tablet, I see maybe a 2% difference, if that).

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Quick question. I'm running this through PPSSPP on my son's laptop that's using intel HD 3000 graphics (i5-2520M). The game runs pretty decent except for a few little hiccups here and there.
What I wanted to ask was will the standard version (I have all the pauth files) run better than the HD version given the texture sizes? I figured if I can make it run a little smoother then he'd have more fun.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER

Hi everyone,
I'm getting an issue when launching MHP3rd hd version.
This is on the newest release (1.1.0-4-g371e7ab) on windows 8.1 64 bit.
On previous version (.9.8) PPSSPP just crashed entirely. In this case, the game just sits a black screen after I click to launch the game. Freedom Unite works, and this game has worked in the past

Probably not. On the few other computers and devices I've tried, they've run exactly the same, or the regular version got maybe one or two FPS higher. It's just a relatively demanding game no matter how you look at it.

On Windows 7, using the latest git build, v1.1.0-18-gb7725c4, I'm not seeing those errors in the console, or having issues getting it to boot. Have you tried restoring the emulator's settings to default, or using a fresh save file (back up your old one, of course)? If neither of those work, it's possible your eboot/ISO is bad.

I'm not sure exactly what's happening. I know the ISO worked on my old laptop last year, and that was with .9.9 or something. But I tried many versions of PPSSPP and they either just crash or hang without actually loading.
I can access the menu with ESC though, and that brings up the settings with the mhp3rd background.
I also tried this on my tablet and I get the same thing.
Idk where I can get a legal copy of this game though, so is there anyway to verify an ISO?

PPSSPP Crashes on MHP3rd HD
PPSSPP crashes everytime I try to open MHP3rd HD ISO file. It shows a black screen with the controls visible for about a second and it goes 'unfortunately PPSSPP has stopped working'. I'm using a Zenfone 5 with the 1.1.1 version of PPSSPP. I really want to play P3rd. Someone help please?

Aside the 'dubious' way you acquired the game, you have to apply the patch on the iso with the patcher you can grab from here. Extract the patcher, put the patch in said folder, run the patcher and select touched/fixed iso, select both iso and patch and aplly the patch. Also the game save folder is named as the psp counterpart ULJM05800.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
This game runs like an absolute dream (After spending hours fiddling to get it to work (This thread helped loads)) I got off about 6 hours of solid, non-interrupted gameplay and i couldn't find 1 flaw. I am running PPSSPP git v0.8.1-481-gf2e7388 and i've wazzed my specs into my sig. I have the game running on max settings with Texture Scaling on 2x Hybrid (For some reason any higher causes a slight second-or-so lag spike everytime a new window is opened, (For example, a store/farm collections/player box/quest list etc.) but at a lower scaling this is now non-existent. I am also running the game in fullscreen mode at 1920x1080 resolution and have enclosed a few screenshots... MHP3rd HD also seems to be more translated than that of my psp version, but i could simply be using an old patch on my psp.. it was some time ago that i got the psp patch, and very recently when i got the ps3 one.
Awesome job with the emulator, i love it, it's making me start to play all of my old dusty psp games .. now that i can play the majority of 'em on my pc it's pretty damn sweet ! (And considering that, as of yesterday, my ps3 fucked up and is no longer reading discs this is a damn fine alternative!)
On a side note, in my PPSSPP folder, under User/Logs/ i have a file called 'PPSSPP.log' and it's just over 3GB.. which is rather space consuming, i'm thinking I accidently done something in the setup somewhere.. or not? is it ok to delete the file or will it mess things up? i'm assuming not as it's just a log file, but, you know, ghost in the machine and all..

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Yes its Okay to delete that folder Logs & you will not get any more logs being produced.
Unless you wish to do debugging, then run Log.bat found in same folder as PPSSPPWindows.exe, that will create that Logs folder again, & start up PPSSPP as normal.

Are you trying to run monster hunter portable 3rd or 3rdHD (PS3 remaster)? As for now PPSSPP can run only the latter due to a function not implemented yet. That black screen could be caused by the intro/ending movies, you can skip that by pressing select. If you are experiencing the issue ingame then it would be wise to tell us the specs of your pc.
